The adapter works with a 18650 rechargeable lithium battery. You need to charge the battery only the first time; after that, it will be automatically charged in the adapter.
Most EVs have a 400 V battery architecture, meaning that they can withdraw around 100-120 kW of power (400 V*300 A). Electric cars with 800 V battery architecture will be able to withdraw 260-300 kW of power.
